Whalley Range Attic

Attic conversion and renovation of the family bathroom of a five bedroomed house in Whalley Range. The client was planning an attic conversion to create a main bedroom suite with walk in wardrobe, en suite bathroom and office space as a calming retreat from busy family life.

The attic scheme used a soft scheme of complementary muted colours to create a feeling of sanctuary and hotel-style luxury. The existing brick arch on the external wall was retained and echoed with a new archway from the bedroom into the dressing room area and an area of tongue and groove panelling in the bedroom allowed for a useful shelf above the bed area.

The bedroom was painted in Paint & Paper Library Lusi, a muted green neutral and contrasted with Farrow & Ball Dead Salmon in the dressing room area. The en suite continues the green theme with the slightly stronger Hornblende shade whilst the family bathroom scheme has a more playful feel with patterned floor tiles, Little Greene James on one side of the room and the existing unfinished window retained.
