Bramhall En Suite

Renovation of the en suite bathroom of a five bedroomed house in Bramhall, South Manchester.  The owner was looking to update a tired looking en suite to create a sanctuary off the main bedroom of the house.  The layout of the room was made more complex by having the stair bulkhead in the space which needed to be concealed without impacting too much on the design.

The scheme focused on creating a feminine space which would provide a calm and restful space to retreat to at the start and end of the day.  Key elements were creating a beautiful vanity area as well as a large and open walk in shower space.

The design included the use of soft and subtle floor and wall tiles from Claybrook as well as statement House of Hackney wallpaper which was finished with a varnish to keep it from being damaged by water.  The vanity was a bespoke design with a quartz top and counter top sink with a large illuminated mirror above.  Traditional features were also added throughout in order to keep the décor consistent with the rest of the house including an IP-rated chandelier, and a decorative ceiling rose and coving.
