Bramhall Bathroom

Bathroom scheme for the remodel of a family bathroom in a four bedroomed house based in Bramhall, Cheshire. The bathroom in this Edwardian house had been left untouched during previous renovations in the house and required a complete overhaul including layout and design scheme.

The scheme aimed to create a room with a simple industrial aesthetic which also felt luxurious and inviting.  The layout needed to be addressed in order to create space for a free-standing bath and separate shower area in a long, narrow room.

The design included the use of Tadelakt, a waterproof Moroccan plaster which requires specialist installation to the walls and floor coupled with Farrow & Ball Stiffkey Blue to the upper walls and ceiling to give the space more warmth.  The room was partitioned with a stud wall to create a separate shower area as well as a wall for the vintage vanity unit to stand against. The lighting scheme, including dark recessed downlights which disappear into the dark ceiling and statement pendants over the bath add a touch of glamour to the room.
